Lag Prevention Guide
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players on Flaze SMP, it is important to minimize server lag. Below are some guidelines to follow in order to prevent excessive strain on the server. These guidelines are designed to help players optimize their gameplay while being mindful of server performance.
This document has been updated on 13/01/2025
Some mods adds specific laggy blocks that you may need to avoid. Here is a non-exhaustive list of these.
Blocks to avoid:
Carbon Brushes (Create: New Age)
Mechanical belts (Create)
Fluid Pipes (Create)
Alternatives:
Carbon Brushes → Powah Energy Sources, Energy Transmitter
Mechanical Belts → Drawer Trims, Item Transmitter
Fluid Pipes → Fluid Transmitter
Redstone mechanisms, especially large farms and automated machines, can put a significant load on the server.
What to Avoid:
Large automatic farms that constantly activate (e.g., massive crop farms, mob farms).
Complex redstone circuits or contraptions that require continuous tick updates.
What to Prefer:
Use simpler redstone designs with fewer moving parts.
If you're building a large redstone contraption, limit its usage during peak hours and make sure it's turned off when not in use.
Excessive chunk loading causes the server to process multiple areas of the world at once, which can lead to intensive lag.
What to Avoid:
Keep chunk loaders running for long periods of time.
Use constant chunk loading in areas far from spawn or other players.
What to Prefer:
Use chunk loaders only when necessary and for short periods of time.
Excessive mobs, dropped items, and other entities can cause lag, especially in farms or mob grinders.
What to Avoid:
Allowing large amounts of mobs to spawn or remain in one area without control.
Having too many dropped items lying around.
What to Prefer:
Set up proper mob farms with entity collection systems (e.g., using absorption hoppers).
Use entity despawn timers where possible, and periodically clean up unnecessary dropped items.
Avoid having more than X mobs in a single area at one time.
Hoppers and large item sorting systems can cause performance issues if overused.
What to Avoid:
Massive hopper networks with long distances between hoppers.
Having large, automated storage systems that process hundreds of items every second.
What to Prefer:
Optimize hopper systems to only use the necessary amount for your needs.
Consider block-based storage (like Storage Drawers) or AE2 storage to reduce lag from hopper systems.
High-density builds, especially in biomes where mobs spawn frequently, can contribute to lag.
What to Avoid:
Large, densely packed buildings or farms where mobs spawn uncontrollably.
Using spawners in areas where they continuously spawn entities.
What to Prefer:
Use mob-proofing techniques (e.g., mega torches) in large builds to reduce unnecessary mob spawning.
Use spawner timers or controlled mob farms instead of constantly active spawners.
Frequent and large-scale block updates (e.g., digging or placing large amounts of blocks) can impact server performance.
What to Avoid:
Massive quarries or automated systems that constantly dig or place blocks.
Fast block-breakers or massive mining operations that use a lot of server resources.
What to Prefer:
Consider using tools that only break or place blocks when necessary and limit the number of blocks affected.
Build compact mining systems or have breaks between large-scale operations.
Mobs used for transporting items or powering automated systems can cause lag when not managed properly.
What to Avoid:
Using too many entities in transport systems (e.g., minecart systems or entity-based elevators).
Relying on entities as constant movement platforms.
What to Prefer:
Opt for alternative transport systems, such as minecarts with hoppers or elevators that use blocks instead of mobs.
Ensure that mobs used for automation are contained and do not move freely.
During peak server hours, it’s important to minimize server load to ensure all players have a smooth experience.
What to Avoid:
Using resource-intensive systems during peak player activity times (e.g., late afternoons or weekends).
Running large farms, mob grinders, or chunk loaders during these times.
What to Prefer:
Limit large operations to off-peak hours when fewer players are online.
Consider staggering high-load systems throughout the day to avoid overload during peak times.
These guidelines are not exhaustive, and additions to this document may be made based on specific situations.
By following these basic principles, we can ensure that Flaze SMP remains a fun, lag-free experience for everyone!

Guide to Companies
On Flaze SMP, companies are an integral part of the economy and player interaction. While not mandatory, creating a company allows you to sell goods and services over the long term, fostering collaboration and innovation within the server. This guide explains how companies operate, their tiers, domains, and rules.
This document has been updated on 19/04/2025
Each company must focus on a single domain (e.g., Agriculture, Mining, …). Over time, companies can grow and expand into closely related subdomains.
Domains represent the focus of your company, such as Agriculture, Industry, Logistics, and more. Subdomains provide more specific activities within these categories (e.g., Crop Farming under Agriculture). The full list of domains is provided later in this guide.
Companies progress through four tiers based on their growth and achievements:
Tier 1: Operate in one subdomain.
Tier 2: Expand into a related subdomain.
Tier 3: Unlock Research & Development (R&D) to innovate or grow operations.
Tier 4: Act as a "mother company," managing multiple companies.
Notify staff when your company is ready to upgrade in the “tier-upgrade” Discord channel.
Complete a challenge tailored to your subdomain. (Example: A farming company may need to harvest a large amount of crops in a short period.)
All companies must progress through tiers sequentially, starting from Tier 1.
At Tier 3, companies unlock access to Research and development (R&D). This system allows companies to invest their money and time in expanding their capabilities and removing restrictions, with entirely random outcomes.
R&D is a unique feature that enables companies to:
Expand Operations: Unlock new subdomains within your domain or even gain access to an entirely new domain if all subdomains have already been explored.
Reduce Restrictions: Remove certain operational limitations, such as production caps or collaboration barriers.
Discover New Opportunities: Gain access to exclusive benefits or features that were previously unavailable.
Investment: Companies invest in R&D by contributing money. The amount required will vary based on the scale of the research.
Uncertainty: The outcome of R&D is random—you won’t know what you’re investing in until the research is complete.
Reward: Once research concludes, your company will unlock a new feature, expansion, or other benefit based on the result.
Progressive Price: The more research you do, the higher the price.
Subdomain Expansion: Gain access to a new subdomain in your current domain.
Domain Expansion: Unlock an entirely new domain to operate in if your company has already expanded into all subdomains.
Operational Improvements: Reduce production time, enhance efficiency, or gain new tools.
Exclusive Perks: Obtain unique privileges, such as a reduced cooldown for tier upgrades or specialized permissions.
R&D is available only to Tier 3 companies and higher.
Outcomes are determined randomly, and there is no guarantee of a specific result.
Companies may invest in multiple R&D projects simultaneously, provided they have sufficient resources.
R&D outcomes cannot be transferred or shared between companies.
You can only do one research at a time.
At Tier 4, companies can evolve into Mother Companies, allowing the CEO to propose other companies to operate under their control, forming a corporate empire.
Ownership of Subsidiaries: A Mother Company can acquire other companies, turning them into subsidiaries. These companies retain their own operations but must follow the Mother Company’s direction and agreed terms.
Proposal & Contract: The CEO can offer a company to become a subsidiary, with all terms laid out in a contract. Learn how to create contracts in the Create a Contract document.
Acceptance/Refusal: The offered company has the right to accept or refuse the proposal. Once accepted, the contract is binding and recognized by staff, and can only be canceled by negotiation between both companies.
R&D Investment: The Mother Company can invest its money into the R&D of a single subsidiary, allowing for targeted innovation and development in that specific business. This investment is exclusive to the chosen subsidiary and not shared across the entire Mother Company.
Expanded Resources & Influence: A Mother Company pools resources from its subsidiaries, creating new revenue streams and significantly influencing the economy.
Leadership & Voting Rights: The leadership of a Mother Company holds ultimate power over decisions involving its subsidiaries, such as expansion, company direction, or policy changes. Players involved in a Mother Company can also receive voting rights on company matters, determining which companies are acquired, how profits are shared, and what direction the conglomerate takes in the future.
Being a Mother Company is more than cosmetic—it's a powerful way to manage multiple businesses, shape the server's economy, and strategically expand your influence.
Only freight companies can operate trains on public railroads. Public railroads are validated by staff and serve for general transport purposes (e.g., goods or players).
Non-freight companies must rely on freight services for transportation.
Personal railroads cannot connect directly to spawn.
Non-freight companies may build private railroads for personal use, provided they do not connect to spawn or violate public railroad restrictions.
Freight companies facilitate the movement of goods and are vital for server-wide collaboration.
Operating within registered domains and subdomains.
Collaborating with other companies for goods or services.
Innovating within your domain (e.g., automating factory processes).
Owning one company while being part of another.
Join other companies (must not have already created a company).
Operating in unrelated domains without staff approval.
Using public railroads if not a freight company.
Collaboration between companies owned by the same player is prohibited unless explicitly approved by server staff for unique cases (e.g., interconnected business operations).
Creating companies without clear objectives or focus.
Using duplicate names for companies without them being part of a mother company.
Owning more than one company while participating in another.
You can’t have 2 companies, you’re either CEO of one or associate/employee of another.
Eligibility to Sue:
Any company can sue another, regardless of tier.
Valid claims include:
Breach of contract.
Fraud or scamming.
Property damage or griefing.
Reputation harm caused by false claims or actions.
Filing the Lawsuit:
The suing company must prepare an official lawsuit document with:
A clear reason for the lawsuit.
Evidence (e.g., screenshots, agreements, or chat logs).
The desired resolution (e.g., compensation, apology).
Submit the lawsuit to the city president for initial review and approval.
Initial Mediation by the City President:
The city president acts as the first point of resolution, hosting a mediation session between the suing and defending companies.
Both parties present their arguments and evidence, and the city president attempts to negotiate a fair resolution.
If a settlement is reached, it is documented and binding for both parties.
Escalation to the Court:
If mediation fails or if either party contests the city president’s decision, the case is escalated to the Flaze SMP Court, which consists of:
Neutral Players: Trusted community members without ties to the suing or defending companies.
Senior Staff Members: Acting only as advisors and enforcers of server rules to ensure fairness. They do not issue the final judgment unless a rule violation is involved.
The court will:
Review all evidence and arguments.
Conduct a formal trial where both sides present their case.
Deliver a majority-based verdict.
Verdict and Compliance:
The final verdict may include:
Payment of compensation in items or currency.
Public apologies or corrections.
Restrictions or other penalties depending on the offense.
Non-compliance with the verdict results in intervention by staff, which may include suspension of company privileges or fines.
Rules and Fairness:
The city president or court will dismiss frivolous or baseless lawsuits.
The court’s decision is final, except in cases where both parties agree to renegotiate.
The staff’s role is limited to enforcing rules and monitoring fairness, not issuing verdicts directly.
Choose a Domain: Select a primary focus for your company.
Register in-game: Use the Flaze SMP /company command to list your company’s details.
Opportunities Board: Check the spawn area for player needs that your company could fulfill.
New companies start at Tier 1 with one domain and subdomain.
Flaze SMP encourages collaboration between companies. This system not only strengthens the economy but also builds relationships between players.
Examples of collaboration:
Farmers rely on freight companies to transport crops.
Factories need miners to supply raw materials.
Every company plays a role in the server’s interconnected economy.
Below is the comprehensive list of domains and subdomains available for company registration. Players are encouraged to select a domain that aligns with their interests or gameplay goals.
→ If the domain you want is not listed, contact server staff to suggest a new one.

Communication Systems: Building networks or radio systems.
Advanced Tools: Creating high-tech gadgets and machinery.
Decoration Services: Offering interior and exterior design.
Logo Design: Designing logos for companies.
Hotels: Providing temporary lodging for players.
Casino: Operating gambling and casino facilities.
Casino companies must define their primary operating location in their registration. Temporary or mobile setups may be allowed with staff approval.
Convenience Stores: These stores sell small, general-use items.
The Convenience Stores are not allowed to sell resources from other companies (crops, ores, advanced items, …) unless they have a partnership.
Community Events: Hosting competitions, challenges, or minigames.
Festivals & Gatherings: Organizing themed celebrations.
Flaze SMP’s company system provides endless opportunities for players to engage in unique and specialized gameplay. As you progress, features like R&D will unlock new potential for your company.

sations are non-profit, lore-driven entities on Flaze SMP. Unlike companies, they do not generate income or compete economically. Instead, they shape the world through influence, story, and roleplay. They exist to protect, research, mediate, uncover secrets, or drive philosophical or political agendas.
Please note that companies and organisations can't interact directly; they can't do business or anything like that.
Feature | Companies | Organisations |

Organizations are the soul of Flaze SMP's story. If you want to leave a permanent mark — not through profit, but through purpose — create or join one.
Flaze SMP remembers those who shape its world, not just those who own it.
Train Rail Standards Charter
This document establishes important recommendations and guidelines for train systems construction, maintenance, and operation. Compliance with these standards is not mandatory but aims to ensure safety, functionality, and consistency across all railway infrastructure.
This document has been updated on 02/01/2025
All railway tracks must maintain a minimum distance of two blocks from any wall or solid structure.
This spacing ensures safe clearance for trains and reduces potential obstructions.
Picture: Minimum distance required for a wall on a public railway.
Parallel railway tracks must maintain a minimum distance of three blocks between them.
This standard is necessary to prevent collisions and allow for safe maintenance operations.
Pictures: Proper alignment for parallel railways with 3 blocks in between.
All tracks must be laid on a gravel or cobblestone bed, ensuring stability and proper drainage.
Before placing tracks, the terrain must be properly terraformed to provide a level surface and accommodate the gravel foundation.
Adequate signaling systems must be installed along the railway to manage train traffic and provide visual alerts. In order to do this, you need a Train Signal (click on the block below for a tutorial).
All new railway lines must be announced to the players to prevent collisions.
This declaration should include the line's route, purpose, and expected operational details.
Platforms at train stations must maintain a minimum distance of one block from the nearest train.
This ensures the safety of passengers during boarding and disembarking.
Fluid loading should be done from the top of the fluid tank of the train for better realism.
Excavating a mountain to create a path for your train is a great idea, but be sure to construct a proper tunnel. Avoid leaving dirt and stone as walls.
It is recommended to put torches or mega torches to avoid mob spawning.
It is highly recommended to place Train Buffers at your track endings so that your train will not derail. They will also be slown down when reaching a train buffer.

Guide to Custom Contracts
Contracts in Flaze SMP are formal agreements between companies. They are used to establish custom terms between the contract issuer and the contractant, and are distinct from trade agreements. Contracts are legally binding and must be fair to both parties.
This document has been updated on 26/01/2025
A contract is a custom agreement created by the issuer, which outlines specific terms and conditions for the contractant. These terms can involve business operations, responsibilities, and rights, such as:
Subsidiary agreements
Mother Companies Investments in R&D
Operational control
Draft Custom Terms:
The contract issuer specifies the custom terms of the agreement. These terms must be clear, specific, and tailored to the needs of the agreement.
Examples of terms might include:
What actions each party must take
Ownership or operational rights
Financial investments or revenue sharing
Timelines or deadlines for specific actions
Ensure Fairness:
All contracts must be fair. Neither party should be exploited or disadvantaged by the terms. Both the issuer and the contractant should benefit from the agreement.
Make sure that the contract reflects a mutual benefit and that neither party is forced into unreasonable conditions.
Negotiation:
After the terms are drafted, both parties must review the contract. Any disagreements or adjustments should be discussed and amended as needed.
The goal is to reach a mutual agreement where both sides are satisfied with the terms.
Signing the Contract:
Once both parties agree to the terms, the contract becomes legally binding. The contract is then official and recognized by staff.
Changes to the contract after signing can only happen through renegotiation and mutual consent.
Enforcing the Contract:
The contract must be upheld by both parties. If one side fails to meet the terms, the contract can be canceled only by mutual agreement of both parties.
A contract can also be terminated if both companies decide to end the agreement through negotiation.
Subsidiary Agreement: A contract where a company agrees to operate as a subsidiary under the control of a Mother Company. This agreement would outline the rights and responsibilities of both the Mother Company and the subsidiary.
Investment Agreement: A Mother Company may invest money into one of its subsidiaries’ R&D. The contract would specify the amount of money invested, how it will be used, and the expected returns.
Contracts are not trade agreements — they deal with business relationships and operational changes, not the exchange of goods.
Clear and fair terms are crucial. Any term that is overly one-sided may be rejected by the contractant or staff.
Negotiation is key — both parties should feel comfortable with the terms before signing.
Contracts are a key part of the Flaze SMP economy, allowing players to formalize and enforce business relationships. Ensure that all contracts are clear, fair, and mutually beneficial. For further details or clarification, refer to the Create a Contract document.
Create a Trade Agreement
Trade Agreement books are official documents that establish trades between companies or players on Flaze SMP. These agreements are recognized by the server staff only if they meet specific criteria. Follow this guide to create a valid Trade Agreement book.
This document has been updated on 20/01/2025
A valid Trade Agreement must include the following details:
Contract Issuer
The name of the company issuing the contract.
Affected Company or Player
If the agreement is with another company, specify the company's name.
If the agreement is with a player, include their full in-game name (case-sensitive).
Contract Subject
Clearly describe what is being traded and the agreed-upon payment. This can include items such as:
Netherite Ingots
Netherite Debris
Diamonds
Emeralds
Any other agreed-upon item or currency.
Example:
"Trading 2 Netherite Ingots in exchange for 15 blocks of Emeralds."
Craft a Book and Quill:
Combine one book and one ink sac with a feather to craft a Book and Quill.
Write the Agreement:
Open the Book and Quill and type the necessary details as outlined above. Ensure the agreement is clear and free of ambiguity.
Signatures Required by Both Parties:
Both parties involved in the agreement must sign identical copies of the book for the agreement to be valid. Each party keeps one signed copy as proof of the trade.
The affected company’s CEO or the specified player must sign the book with the title "Trade Agreement" (capitalization does not matter). Without this signature, the agreement is invalid in the eyes of the staff.
Finalize the Book:
After all parties have reviewed the contents, sign the book as the issuer. Once signed, the book becomes uneditable.
Trade Agreement
Contract Issuer: Vanguard Industries
Affected Party: Raphael66
Subject:
- Trading 2 Netherite Ingots in exchange for 32 Diamonds.
Conditions:
- The trade must be completed by [insert date].
- Failure to comply with the agreement may result in penalties.
Signed,
[Your Company/Name Here]
The staff will only recognize Trade Agreements that:
Contains all the required information.
Are signed with the title "Trade Agreement" by both parties, with each keeping a copy.
Trade Agreements missing key details or without the correct signatures will be considered invalid.
Ensure all parties agree to the terms before finalizing the book to avoid disputes.
Follow this guide to ensure your Trade Agreements are recognized and enforceable on Flaze SMP. If you have any questions, reach out to the staff for assistance!
